A great little book on basic ecclesiology. While there is certainly much more that needs to be said on ecclesiology, this book is a great introduction to the topic or a good book for those who won’t/can’t read a heavier treatment of the subject.
It is not without a few drawbacks. For example, Scriptural support, while present, is somewhat weak and open to disagreement, chapter 7 felt lack-luster in comparison to the others, and there is no explicit discussion of the need/requirement for proper doctrine.
But overall the answers this book gives to the question “why care about church” are quite solid and helpful.
